Free introductory conversation
Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, so I offer a free 30-minute, introductory conversation by telephone or online.
What happens after I get in touch?
Once you contact me, I will arrange a suitable time for your free introductory conversation. During this conversation, you'll have the opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you to therapy, ask me any questions, and find out more about how I work.
There is no obligation to continue. Finding the right counsellor is important, and this conversation is simply an opportunity to see if we both feel that working together is the right fit. If agreed, we can discuss your availability and arrange your first session.
About the Sessions
Following the introductory conversation, your first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy. We'll talk about your current circumstances, your hopes for counselling, and any background that feels relevant. This helps us build a shared understanding of your experiences and how we can work together in a way that feels supportive and tailored to your individual needs.
As our work develops, each session is guided by what feels most important to you. Some days you may want space to talk, while at other times we may gently explore patterns, emotions, or the connection between your mind, body and nervous system. There is no set agenda; we work collaboratively and always at a pace that feels safe, respectful and right for you.
